What support do I need when I become a first time mum?

Looking after a little baby can be very demanding especially when you have little knowledge of what to expect.

Lots of opinions will be shared with you and advice is abundant especially if you have books and scroll the internet for advice.

But finding what works for you and your baby is most important, especially over the next few weeks.

This is where I come in.

Support and guidance after birth is essential to your emotional and physical wellbeing.

I love newborns, their snuggles, the warmth and the amazing bond that starts with mum and baby in the early hours after birth.

As a mum’s advocate, it’s my role to support parents without judgement

This is when one on one support to help you enjoy your baby and feel confident is very important.

Once your baby gets used to the outside world, challenges may occur. They become more curious and are very quick to develop patterns that may not be sustainable for both of you and your family.

Giving you gentle and holistic advice with hands on approach, working along side you, both at home and online will help you trust your instincts and enjoy your baby without feeling anxious, second guessing yourself and I can guarantee, no sleep deprivation.

So how does this work and what is involved?

  • We start to chat before you have your baby around 36 weeks pregnant. Set up a postnatal support plan customised to your needs. This plan allows you to think about parenting styles, feeding options, the village around you such as who will support you, how long you wish to stay in hospital and plans for your home-coming.

Once your baby arrives I will visit you in hospital and this is where the amazing hands-on support will kick in.
