A diagnosis that is either dreaded or welcomed by new parents. Reflux is often associated when babies are vomiting, spilling, crying (often for long periods of time). I have tried everything.

Nothing is working.

It's just not meant to be.

This is a common misconception with mums who are struggling with sleep or feeding challenges.

Why you shouldn't give up and why I urge you to seek help.

You are a mum who is feeling sleep deprived, feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

But you cannot see the why things are not improving.

You need another set of eyes, ears and frame of mind to figure out what needs to change.

This is what I love about helping families find solutions.

Whether it's a phone call, a Skype call or a home visit.

All the families I work with have AHA moments or say to me " you are 100% correct".

Why is this a common scenario?

Because I am not emotionally invested like a mum is.

I have so much experience working with families and their babies that I sometimes feel like I am a psychic.

Understanding what you may be feeling, how you are managing your baby's sleep or feeding and especially for those with second babies.

The one thing I will never do is suggest a suggestion that will not work for you, your family and your baby.

because not one size fits all.

I’ve been a bit quiet this week😊.
Year 8 camp done and dusted and probably the last camp forever seeing she is heading off to college next year😞.

Something to look forward too when your babies get older🙂.

Hey guys,

I’m away at camp at the moment with limited coverage so unfortunately I’m unable to do a live.

So I thought I would give you some steps to help babies or I guess toddlers who are over 12 months.

If your toddler is waking up frequently at night or struggling to go to sleep.

Negative attention🤔

I know it can be very frustrating when they just don’t settle or wake up frequently but try not to show them your frustration or even anger. It’s still attention for them.

Make it boring🤭

It is crucial that you don’t have a conversation with them.
Any attention is attention and an incentive to stay up or chat to you.

No stays No 😬

When they ask for water, a snack, a cuddle and you have given in once but said no the second time make sure you say no the 3rd, 4th,5th etc etc They will push the boundaries as far as they can go till you crumble.

Star Chart ⭐️⭐️

Yes they love rewards and star charts.
The bigger the chart the better.
Make it visual.
Get them to put the stars or stickers on and praise praise praise.
Don’t wait to long for them to get a reward or they will loose interest. Three stars gives them a reward.

Food 🥘

Unfortunately if they have milk feeds then this is the one thing that will keep them up simply because their system is used to burning calories at night, organs aren’t at rest and they are probably going through more nappies than need be.
